It’s for people who want to preview what the lifestyle is all about including provisioning, planning routes and executing the sailing plan —safety and feasibility being in the forefront. Simon is a true professional, as well as an excellent host and all-around great guy.
I wanted to ascertain if this made sense for me and my fellow Boomer partner. In the end, we learned that life aboard a catamaran in the Caribbean makes no sense for us. I arrived with a naive vision that I was still capable of what I could do 30 years ago; it was a rude awakening to find that basic tasks proved more challenging than anticipated. Simon provided honest and valuable feedback, which we appreciated, and now we know what will work for us will be a different sailing experience, one closer to home aboard a manageable monohull, which has greater appeal.
If you and your partner have any questions, as you should prior to purchasing your dream boat, Simon should be your first stop. Our week with him was the best ROI I ever got and when I buy the boat of my new, more realistic dreams, it will be because of what I learned from this trip.
