On one of our recent travels along the scenic shores of South Carolina, we came across a hidden gem known for its picturesque landscapes and serene ambiance – Folly Beach. This extensive stretch of shoreline offers more than just beautiful views; it also holds a quirky reputation as an unofficially nude beach spot on its northern end.
Folly Beach Adventures
Upon arriving at Folly Beach, we immediately fell in love with its expansive beauty and serene atmosphere. We set up our spot tucked away within a secluded dune area that offered some protection from the light breeze blowing through.
The Unofficially Nude Experience
While the beach is known for its nude section, it remains family-friendly overall. Being mindful of our surroundings and aiming to respect other visitors, we kept our clothing on but appreciated the freedom and openness this part of Folly Beach offered.

We keep to the beach, one of many around Charleston, before we hit the city. Folly is our destination and we have heard there is a little spot near Morris Island that is for nudist.
