Part of a five day sea trial out in the Pacific to test out my new inventory of sails. Crazy to think how close I am to the starting line now...
Starting in October 2026 I will attempt a 30,000 mile solo nonstop circumnavigation of the planet aboard my Pacific Seacraft 40, "Phoenix do Mar", meaning Phoenix of the Sea in Portuguese. Departing from Port Townsend, Washington, this voyage will cross the world’s most remote oceans in one continuous passage and take up to eight months to complete. Follow along as I prepare for departure and attempt one of the greatest challenges in sailing.
