S1E56. We Fix EVERYONE Else’s Boats… While Ours Sits! | DIY Boat Work
Welcome back to Sailing UV — the greatest sailing show on Earth! 🌎⛵
UV is our 1996 Henry Morgan 57, a 57-foot catch-rigged project boat that we're slowly bringing back to life and eventually getting ready to chase some BIG sailing dreams.
But there's just one problem…
We're spending a whole lot of time working on everyone else's boats! 😂
This week, we're heading back to the shop for another day of real-world DIY boat work, repairs, marine electronics, fiberglass boats, catamarans, wiring, and boat maintenance.
We're working on everything from installing a new transducer and dealing with wiring nightmares, to solar panels, fuel tank work, and tackling a leaking hatch that needs to be pulled apart and re-bedded properly.
And, of course, Violet comes along for the adventure. 🐕
This is the less glamorous side of the sailing dream — the tools, the repairs, the dirty work, the problems you didn't expect, and the endless list of things that need fixing before you can actually go sailing.
Meanwhile, UV is still waiting for her turn. 😆
We've got some BIG projects coming up that we're keeping under wraps for now, and trust me… you're going to want to be around for those.
