Installing a New Blue Sea Battery Switch and Automatic Charge Relay on an Alberg 30 Sailboat

Hello Friends!
This is a project throwback video of me installation a Blue Sea Battery Switch and Blue Sea SI-ACR Automatic Charging Relay.
I had been having a problem with my started running my house battery dead. I was keeping my old battery switch on “BOTH” and had my shore side charger hooked up to my “common”.
During this installation I install the new battery switch, mount and hook up my ACR and rewire my battery charger so it goes directly to both of my batteries.
The Blue Sea battery switch has a safety function that allows you to combine the battery isolated battery banks to start your engine if needed. Otherwise it just remains in the ON or OFF positions. The ACR detects when one battery is charged and automatically starts charging the other battery keeping them isolated from one another.

I hope this video helps anyone who is having similar issues or is wondering about these two products.
