The Anchor Test !

This video was for Patrons only but its been over a year So now I will release it to the public ! Thanks to my Patrons !

After getting the set up all installed I went out for the day with my buddies Neil, Christian and Carlito to test the anchor and get some footage of the first anchor drop.

Christian motored along side with his beautiful 1962 Tartan 27.

Much to my dismay my gypsy is the wrong size for my chain so I have since been on the search for the correct sized gypsy (either new chain or gypsy will cost me $400 unless I can find a used gypsy)

So this was the first time I got to haul the anchor up by hand, which my mama would have said “Hush up, its good for you, get it done”.

I got lots of practice at this while anchoring at Santa Cruz island in December.

As I mentioned above this video is just for my Patrons and is free for you guys as well, thanks so much for your support!

Thanks for watching!

Fair Winds,
Sailor James

Alberg 30’s have long been known and respected as blue water boats, from Yves Gelinas’ Jean-Du-Sud to being featured in John Vigor’s “Twenty Small Sailboats to Take You Anywhere”. Now I am the proud owner of Hull #55! Come along with me as I refit her and take her sailing in preparation for my circumnavigation in a few years time!
