Team Pestou singlehandedly helmed his F-24 MKII Trimaran to second place in the first 40NM stage of the 2022 Race to Alaska (R2AK) in conditions that left several other boats capsized or disabled and in need of rescue.
He began the second 650NM stage strong as well, leading the sailing fleet through the Gulf Islands, and finding himself second only to Malolo’s much faster trimaran.
Unfortunately he struck several logs overnight, which damaged his boat, and led him to retire from the race.
