Although work on our boat hasn’t been completed, we take a break and set out to open sea to stretch OliLuki’s sea legs and see what she can do. Captain Richard Widmann is with us to help get us settled into our new floating home and share his insights on how to dock and sail her along with pointers on all the sophisticated navigational tools at our disposal. Along the way he identifies some minor issues that
need addressing upon our return to the marina. All in all it’s a fantastic week of sailing the Southern Florida coast down to Pumpkin Key in Key Largo! Come join the ride as this first half of our Shakedown Cruise gets underway!

Captain Richard Widmann has a vast array of sailing experience and knowledge. He worked for Leopard Catamarans for 15 years, has been a Delivery Captain and has sailed both motor and sailing yachts throughout the globe. He is an outstanding educator of sailing vessels for both experienced sailors as well beginners alike.
