Living at Sea on a Sailboat #sailing

Last night was quite challenging for the crew of Sailing SV CUBA as they dealt with some tough sailing conditions. Despite battling bad weather which tore through their 20-year-old sails, the team remained determined to fix them and continue on their journey.

Tough Night Amidst Bad Weather

Yesterday proved to be one of those nights where the crew’s resolve was tested, facing not only strong winds and heavy rain but also their sails suffering damage. The old and reliable 20-year-old sails, a testament to their long-term sailing partner, succumbed to the fierceness of the storm.

Determined to Continue Their Journey

Amidst the struggle and damage, one thing remained constant – the crew’s determination. They were focused on not just waiting for calmer waters but also on the immediate task of repairing their sails. The sailors recognized that these old sails, withstood a lot and served them well.

A Historic Sail

Furthermore, they came to discover another interesting aspect about their sailboat during this process. One of the sails turned out to be almost 100 years old! This revelation added a whole new level of admiration and respect for their vessel.

The Remarkable Journey Continues

This experience only adds to the impressive story of Sailing SV CUBA’s journey. Their boat, brimming with nearly a century of stories under its sails, continues to inspire them and everyone who follows their voyage.

An Extraordinary Voyage

It’s moments like these that truly make Sailing SV CUBA’s expedition extraordinary. The challenges, the fixes, and everything in between, it’s all part of their journey.
