A slightly poor appearance from Ellie as she continues to make the big bucks in shiny London town. Ben’s cracking on with lots of jobs this episode, including making a portlight! We’ve always know we wanted to move the control panel anyway, and it feels like the perfect place to create more light within the boat. For a small space, the lighter we can make it the better. It’s just a temporary fix for now, but we think we love it, what do you think?

Welcome to Sailing Rum Punch. We are Ben and Ellie, both from the UK, and together we have bought a 1972 Contest 38 sailing boat with big plans to build our dream floating home and navigate the world with her alongside. Though newbies to renovating a boat, we are sharing our DIY refit from the very beginning amongst the crazy chaotic on-the-go lifestyle we lead and with the intention of living a minimalistic and adventurous lifestyle.
