This week, I set out to tackle one of the most frustrating projects on our property — trying to seed and protect a steep hillside that is at risk of washing out. What I thought would take a day turned into a brutal, multi-day battle against gravity, exhaustion, and my own patience. And just when I thought things couldn’t get worse… we were robbed.
After losing our generator — the one tool that keeps our entire off-grid build running — it felt like the world was kicking us while we were down. But we’re doing what we can: tightening security, putting up a gate, and pushing forward.
