This week we finally begin excavation on the ridge—and everything is riding on how it goes.
We bought this property because it straddles a gently sloping ridgeline, something incredibly rare in the Smoky Mountains. The dream was that we’d be able to carve out a large, flat, buildable site without blowing our entire budget. But now that the machines are here, we’re about to find out if that gamble was worth it.
The land could give us everything we hoped for… or it could throw us a rock-solid curveball.
