Off grid sailboat life can have its challenges like tackling a plumbing disaster in the middle of nowhere and crossing our fingers that we have the right spare parts onboard, or keeping our provisions topped up so that we don’t run out of food, but it also means that we have the biggest backyard in the world, where we can interact with nature all around us. Do we miss the comforts of civilization like a fast internet connection, air conditioned grocery runs, and hot water? Sometimes, but what we gain when we journey off-grid has a magic of its own.
