Building Our Hard Dodger From Scratch Part 1 | S02E26
A DIY step-by-step tutorial on how to build a hardtop for a boat.
Refitting Atticus took us 3 long years, during which time it was difficult to decide what we absolutely needed on the boat before setting off to cruise!
We’ve always known we wanted to build a hard dodger on Atticus, but we weren’t really sure what design features we’d like and need. After all, during our refit, we never left the dock for more than 3 nights at a time!
So, over the last year while sailing Atticus through Cuba and Mexico without any protection from the elements, we’ve had some time to hone in on a custom design.
In this episode, we FINALLY have the time and money saved up from our boat work in Isla Mujeres, Mexico to work on our hard dodger.
