Sadly after 8 months of sleeping on Dry fast foam in our V-berth, it has started to deteriorate, to the point that we have been having difficulty sleeping through the night.
After a lot of research and phone calls to foam providers, we have decided to go with a Latex foam solution for our sailboat’s V-berth.
We purchased our Latex toppers from Sleeponlatex.com. Free delivery and free returns!

UPDATE: I just realized that I got my Foam definitions mixed up in this video. Sorry!
Here’s a breakdown of density and firmness:
Density= How many pounds a cubic foot of foam weighs. Measured in PCF (pounds per cubic foot). High density (anything above 1.8 PCF) is usually an indication of high quality foam.
Firmness = How many pounds needed to compress a standard piece of 4″ thick foam by 25% (or 1 inch). Measured in IFD and ILD (Indentation force deflection/ Indentation Load Deflection). A super soft foam has an IFD of 12, whereas a very hard foam could have an IFD of up to 120.
