We started our journey on the 27 of March 2018, our idea was to have a YouTube channel to inspire and encourage people to do exactly the same we are doing. A lot of people has doubts about this life style at our age. So on May 2018 we launched our first episode. Not being use to having a camera in front of us, most of the time made those first episodes a little awkward, if we watch them nowadays. But the feedback from all of you was something we were not expecting at all. The messages, the emails, the comments on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube were absolutely amazing. At that moment we made a promise to ourselves, we said we would reply to all these lovely people that had spent a few minutes of their lives to follow us and write to us. Surprisingly we got monetised by YouTube in 11 weeks after the launch our first episode. That is a huge achievement at such an early stage. Follow our adventure by subscribing to our channel.

In this episode we have Pedro, Carla’s father with us for a week, well known as “the paparazzi “, the camera is always on and in his hands!
We finally found the banging noise we had on the boat, a few herb jars left behind the oven.
We cross to Menorca with not much wind in 31 hours and swap the flags!

A little bit about us…
We met in the summer 2015, we were introduced to each other by the virtual world. Eighteen months later we were getting married on a beautiful beach on Barbados, bare foot, very simple ceremony just like a dream!
Two days after the wedding laying on the beach, talking about sailing, Carla suggested… why don’t we sail around the world? Guess what Simon said? “Let’s do it” He took it with no second thoughts! And here we are, fifteen months after that day in Barbados, we started our adventure in Croatia.
We made it happen working through all the challenges on the way.
Now we are enjoying this wonderful life, and what a wonderful life it is!
As we travel we will cross less fortunate countries, we would love to help to build a school or a health care centre, anything that these people may need, and in our beautiful world this is taken for granted. But for these people it’s a dream, or may not even be a dream.
We will look around and when the opportunity to help comes we will put our hands and hearts in to it.
