WHAT DO YOU THINK?? Is this the FIRST BOAT ever build in history of mankind?; s4/e20

In this fascinating video, Captain Marlin van de Vosst shares a leg of his journey towards the city of Brea, where he’s never been before. Along the way, he stumbles upon an extraordinary and historic discovery that could change our understanding of boatbuilding history.

The First Boat Ever Built?

As Captain Marlin makes his way through the locks at Thecla’s Locks in Heeze, he encounters a very special boat. Intrigued by its unique design and seemingly age-old construction, he believes that it might be the oldest known vessel ever built. The captain’s findings could shed new light on religious history as well.

The Boatbuilder’s Tale

The boat, now docked in Capelle aan den IJssel, has a rich and storied past connected to Christianity. According to the legend, it was crafted by a Dutch carpenter inspired by the biblical story of Noah’s Ark.

Religious History Meets Maritime Lore

Curiously, this connection to religious history might be lost on those who adhere to different faiths or have come from other geographical locations.

A Global Perspective

The captain reflects on how our understanding of historical events and figures could be influenced by where we are born, raised, or which religious stories are instilled in us during childhood. By exploring this unique boat’s origins, he hopes to foster a sense of curiosity and respect for the diverse tales shared among various cultures.

Connecting The Dots

Though some may disagree with his perspective, Captain Marlin’s willingness to engage in thoughtful dialogue is admirable. As the video comes to an end, viewers are encouraged to reflect on their own beliefs and consider how different stories and histories could shape our worldview.

On tour to Breda. In this leg we again cruise on the tidal river Hollandsche IJssel and enjoy the beauty of the Dutch landscape, and when we head North, we see a replica of the first ever build boat in history of mankind. I am familiar with the story because I heard it many times when I grew up. Is the story true or is it a saga as many other stories? Who will tell and... it all depends on the spot where you were born.
Do not watch this video if you are convinced that only what you think or believe is right. We are with 7 Billion people on this world, what if someone else is right and not you...

Cams aboard Lady Liselot. Check them out on Amazon: https://amzn.to/3P5jFxP (but the silly thing is: these https://amzn.to/3T1AYB2 almost are alike).

The 4 camera's I use to produce my outdoor footage, are so called PTZ - P(an) T(ilt) Z(oom). Zoom, I only use on the rear camera, when I am underway. As you have seen I use the pan and tilt a lot. And in the dark they produce a great (short view) infrared image. I even can navigate in a marina at night on my cams.
Since they all are so called "IP camera's", each have an unique (hardwired) IP address (no DNS) in my network.

This channel follows a format: "Join Henk-Jan, whilst he cruises on motorvessel Lady Liselot through The Netherlands and a little further". That's it. This automatically means: no boat tour and no boat jobs. These subjects do not fit the format. So, I aim to give you a feel for what life's like aboard for me and hope you enjoy it, perhaps relate to it or maybe even learn something. But it's simply my story and the way I do things. Nothing more, nothing less.

Nederlands.
