On a very special day (My 56th Birthday!!) I head for one of the Frisian isles called Terschelling.
Oh, and “65 years old” must be “56”. Little error in 2nd language…
Terschelling is one of the isles from the Wadden Sea. The Wadden Sea is the largest tidal flats system in the world. It is bounded from the IJsselmeer by the Afsluitdijk. If you want to see more about the IJsselmeer go watch another video of mine, later on.
Historically, the coastal regions were often subjected to large floods, resulting in thousands of deaths. Numerous dikes and several causeways have been built, making this area among the most human-altered habitats on the planet. And this is the place I visit in this video!!!

Wellicht vind je het ‘steenkolen Engels’, vergeef me dat dan maar, want zij die uitsluitend Engels spreken of Engels ook als 2e taal hebben, zijn al heel blij dat ze op deze manier mij kunnen volgen. Helaas betekent dit dat een aantal Nederlanders die het Engels niet machtig zijn, de video’s lastiger kunnen volgen. Helaas is dat zo.

2024 is Season 4 of Sailing MV LadyLiselot. I am Henk-Jan (1965 - I know, one would not tell), a #liveaboard on this #trawler #yacht where I live, work, #singlehanded sail and enjoy life in #thenetherlands. She is a 1980 49ft Blue Ocean Trawler and named after my daughter: "Fien Liselot". Build in Lien Hwa Boat Yard (established in 1978). Lien Hwa Boat Yard builded boats for several OEM partners included Blue Ocean (Holland – power boats), Little Harbor (US – sail boats), Marine Trader (US – power boats), Trade Winds (US – power boats). This channel follows a format: "Join Henk-Jan, whilst he cruises with Lady Liselot". That's it. This automatically means: no boat tour and no boat jobs. These subjects do not fit the format.
