This week an exciting package arrived that weโd been waiting for for a while.
We enthusiastically rented a car and headed to the shipping centre to pick it up… only to be told it was still on a boat heading to St Martin and would arrive in the next few days.
With a car rented and nothing to use it for, we decided to check out a bit of the island, including the deserted Philipsburg, usually a cruise ship and tourist mecca.
Several days later, and after another failed attempt to receive the parcel that seemingly wanted to evade us, we rented another car determined to have it in hand by the end of the day.
Half a day later and we were following the delivery van around but finally managed to get said parcel into our possession!!
Later in the week, to stretch out legs, we decided to hike up to the highest hill we could find in St Martin, and on the way explain how we got gifted such a generous present.
Weโd like to thank Eric from Thornhill Lawn Equipment in Ontario, Canada. (https://www.thornhilllawn.com/)
He, and the folks at Thornhill are good people ๐๐ผ๐
