What next? We’re leaving! But are we ready?

We finally left Portland after an amazing winter making new friends and enjoying this awesome Marina. Honestly we can't recommend Portland Marina highly enough. People told us it would be remote and exposed but it didn't feel like that to us. Yes there were storms, but that's normal for the whole south coast of the UK and they were no worse than what we're used to in North Wales where we come from. We felt safe and secure and even when the wind was hitting 70+ it didn't feel insecure or scary. Facilities wise it was amazing, LIDL on the doorstep, Chandleries, sail makers, mechanical supplies, all within a minute or two from the marina.

But all good things come to an end and we're off again to new places, and maybe some old places.

Sailing Melody

Sailing Melody is the official YouTube channel for the Bennington Family and our sailing adventures. We are now well on our way to becoming a full time live-aboard family.
