We’ve taken on something BIG…. A Big pile of poo!!!

After years of restoring and living aboard our sailing yacht *Ocean Melody*, life has brought us back to Wales — and instead of slowing down… we’ve done the opposite.

This is our new off-grid cottage project.

It’s remote, it’s rough, it’s completely off-grid… and honestly, it might be the biggest challenge we’ve ever taken on.

In this video, we give you the full tour — what we’ve taken on, what state it’s in, and what our plans are moving forward. This will become our land-based base of operations alongside our floating off-grid life… but how it all fits together? We’re figuring that out as we go.

Sailing Melody is the official YouTube channel for the Bennington Family and our sailing adventures. We are now well on our way to becoming a full time live-aboard family. We started with a little 24ft Snapdragon bilge keel, and then moved up to a 28ft Great Dane long keel yacht. Now though we're working on MELODY, our 38ft Steel Pilothouse Cutter. We're working hard to get her ready to go back in the water but as you'll see there's a lot of work to do. Join us on our epic journey restoring this beautiful boat to her former glory and then come with us as we set off around the world.
