In the last episode, we introduced ourselves and our boat. Now we’ll show you a little bit more about what it takes to rebuild a shipwreck. Although Magic Carpet was once destined for the scrapyard, she’s now almost ready to be launched back onto the water.
Aladino is a professional boatbuilder, so he has the skills and training necessary to pull off a restoration of this size. But it wasn’t easy! It’s taken almost four years, and a lot of hard work. In this video, Aladino will tell you a bit more about what exactly he had to fix in order to make Magic Carpet seaworthy again.
It’s impossible to condense 4 years work and knowledge into a short YouTube video, but if you’re interested in more specific aspects of the restoration, please let us know! We can include more details in future videos. Aladino is truly a wealth of knowledge.
