Santo Stefano in the Mediterranean is what we will now call the “Island of Abandoned Things.” To be fair, apparently on the other side of the island is a resort, but I checked the trip advisor reviews and they don’t look great, so perhaps that’ll be abandoned soon too!
Santo Stefano has an old fortress, an abandoned quarry complete with a towering half finished stone statue of an Italian fascist leader, and some creepy/cool old buildings.
Plus… this episode kicks off on a pretty serious note. What to do when other boats don’t know, respect, or pay attention to the rules of the sea? We are lucky to still have our boat.
