We’ve loved the remoteness and isolation of the Tuamotus – it’s amazing being able to focus on our family and our time together. We leave Tahanea behind and have rough seas on our way to Fakarava. We tour a pearl farm and see the Topaka lighthouse. We sail to Tahiti but not without having a military plane fly by our boat – hailing us to remind us of the Olympic surfing restrictions. We find out Daniel’s parents are coming in a week and scramble to gather provisions for our party of 8. Our macerator goes out and this repair is causing more headaches than normal – EVERYTHING goes wrong!
