EP 167: We made it to the CARIBBEAN!

We say adios to Fernando De Naronha and commenced on our 2000nm journey towards Grenada our first stop in the Caribbean. We would have loved to stop in Trinidad and Tobago but unfortunaetly they are closed so the next stop was Grenada. We were so excited to get onto land and this was by far the toughest journey for us mentally. We had choppy swell and a lot of squalls which mean it was over cast for most of our trip. We had to run the engines to keep the lithium batteries in their comfort zone.. We do not like to discharge below 50%. Once we got to Grenanda if felt so surreal… The day we had been dreaming of was finally in our grasp.. We had to wait another 2 days before we could check in due to waiting for Covid test results but we didn’t mind, it gave us time to thoroughly clean the boat and get her livable again. The time came to say goodbye to Glen… It was not a goodbye but a see you later for sure. He was such a great asset to us and kept us smiling a lot of the time.
