Episode 149: SAILING after COVID!
We haven’t been out on the open ocean since lock down started.. firstly because we couldn’t and then when we could we had way to much boat tasks to complete. It was so good to go out but the boat needed a good hull scrub. Ricky and Glen offered themselves to do it.. (they were so brave.. the water was freezing 🥶) We also worked a bit on our rigging to prevent the chafe we had from our Genoa rubbing up against our shrouds.. hopefully that will be sorted 🤞 We had a few questions on why we decided to get crew so we give you the answer to that and take a beautiful hike in New lands Forest. ( A place I would definitely recommend, it’s magical)

Sailing Lady Africa
We are a couple from sunny South Africa who decided to buy an old 1991 36.5ft Dean Sailing Catamaran, do a complete rebuild on her and sail the world. We started our boat build in 2018 and completed here in 2020 where we left South Africa and completed an Atlantic Crossing to the Caribbean. Amidst all of this we applied to become US Residents. So follow our journey as we sail the Caribbean and set up a new life in a new country.
