Episode 144 : Since we have really been feeling the pressure, we decided it was time to put our heads down and gets some boat tasks finished. Yes they are not completely necessary to do to leave for Namibia but South Africa is known to be a lot cheaper when it comes to doing work on your boat and thats why we want to get all the things we never completed in Port Elizabeth done before we leave so we don’t cry later.
We fixed up the dent that was caused by the dock, just needs some primer and paint. We cleaned up our outboard motor and fixed our leaking seal. Put back our now completed stack pack. Installed our port lights in the cockpit as the cockpit fogs up when it’s cold and you can’t see through the windows when at the helm and got up to a lot more..
Only a few tasks left.. saying goodbye to family and then we are off 😄😄

Sailing Lady Africa
We are a couple from sunny South Africa who decided to buy an old 1991 36.5ft Dean Sailing Catamaran, do a complete rebuild on her and sail the world. We started our boat build in 2018 and completed here in 2020 where we left South Africa and completed an Atlantic Crossing to the Caribbean. Amidst all of this we applied to become US Residents. So follow our journey as we sail the Caribbean and set up a new life in a new country.
