So that time has come for us to get our mast prepped in sense of mast lights and get our synthetic rigging attached. We did that and were all prepared to get the mast hoisted… but do you think the weather played well with us? Definitely not!
What’s left on our list you may ask??
1.Window shades
2. Water-maker Installation
3.Install the rest of our deck fittings
4.Finish up our mast prep & hoist her up!
5.Finish our instruments installation (radar mainly)
6.Put up our running and standing rigging
7. Hoist up our sails.
8.Install the engine
9.Name goes on
10.Get a life raft & do all the safety equipment
11.Prep our dinghy (get a outboard motor for it)
12.Epoxy hull before anti fouling
13. Anti fouling goes on
14. ENJOY THE FRUITS OF OUR LABOR!

Sailing Lady Africa
We are a couple from sunny South Africa who decided to buy an old 1991 36.5ft Dean Sailing Catamaran, do a complete rebuild on her and sail the world. We started our boat build in 2018 and completed here in 2020 where we left South Africa and completed an Atlantic Crossing to the Caribbean. Amidst all of this we applied to become US Residents. So follow our journey as we sail the Caribbean and set up a new life in a new country.
