Join us on an unforgettable sailing adventure across the Atlantic Ocean as we face huge waves, rough weather, and the challenges of short-handed sailing on our custom aluminum sailboat. After spending the past six months outfitting our boat to be fully off-grid and self-sustainable, it’s finally time to start cruising and returning to a nomadic life on the water. Leaving the Chesapeake in the Winter, we encounter an unexpected storm and relentless seas while sailing offshore toward the British Virgin Islands in the Eastern Caribbean. Along the way, we battle sea sickness, go off course to ride out an unpredicted storm, encounter strong winds, and even catch fresh fish by trolling.
This episode is a real-life look at the struggles and rewards of long-distance sailing in harsh conditions, all while living self-sufficiently off the grid.
