New Catamaran Owners Trust "the Professionals"... - Ep 81
We help new sailors and Lagoon 440 owners tow their catamaran from the Dutch Caribbean island of St. Maarten to the French island of Saint Martin. Their catamaran has no auxiliary power, meaning it has no engines. We go through shallow spots, dodge ship wrecks and use small inflatable dinghies to tow their vessel through a causeway bridge, shallows, and dodge ship wrecks before they tie up to a dock in the boat yard. This was a case of new and inexperienced sailors putting their trust in professionals in the marine industry facilitated a the tow of the engine-less sailing catamaran in order for the professionals to complete a job they had already started. It’s definitely not something we would recommend anybody do, noting the risk and danger involved, but we are glad to have been there to assist our friends.
