Sailing from Palma to the lesser-known but incredibly beautiful island of Cabrera, located just south of Majorca. Anderson and Gita make this 4-part episode a truly memorable experience with the breathtaking beauty, historic sites, amazing wildlife encounters and local cuisine. In part two, they arrive at Cabrera after an adventurous sail, meet up with their friends from Tinara, and set off for the dramatic hike to Castillo de Cabrera castle.
Cabrera Island is a 9-square kilometer gem, one of Spain’s best-preserved coastal natural parks. This island boasts crystal-clear water, spectacular sea cliffs, rugged rocky shores and lush vegetation. Historically used by the Romans as farmland and by the Spanish as a prison for captured soldiers, this enchanting island has never been permanently inhabited. Today, Cabrera Island is a true natural wonder and offers incredible sailing opportunities for those who discover it.
Anderson and Gita set anchor and are soon off to explore on foot. The hike to Castillo de Cabrera (Cabrera Castle) proves thrilling, challenging but rewarding as they make their way up steep paths and stairs with stunning views from the 16th-century fortress.

This time we leave Porto Colom to go to a place that first was a prison, then military base and now... well we think it´s a very cool place but to get there our sailboat turned into a rollercoaster ride.
We are a middle aged couple that has left our hectic business lives to go sailing with our sailboat Fridá af Wisby and our cat Litza. Our goal is sail the Mediterrainean Sea and really enjoy life.
Anders has been at the sea most of his life and sailed for the Swedish national dingy sailing team as a young man. Gitte has also grown up with boats and spent every summer sailing with her father as a teenager. Onboard we also have our cat Litza a 4 year old Devon Rex we call her the cattain because cats always decide over their humans.

Sailing Frida af Wisby
This is a sailing and travel channel by a Swedish middle aged couple Anders and Gitte that quit working life enjoy life as sailors where plans is written in sand. Our Devon Rex cat Litza is part of the crew. We will show our life onboard, maintenance and project work on the boat, Gitte share some recipes and show cooking onboard, a lot of sailing and places we visit along the way. We sail a Wauquiez 47 Pilot Saloon from 2006 that we bought in Yarmouth in UK in 2019 and sailed home to Gotland in Sweden in the spring 2020. In August 2020 we began sailing south and we got to Dieppe in Normandy France before the winter. In 2021 we sailed the Atlantic coast of Europe to Lagos in Portugal. The plan for 2022 is to first sail to the Atlantic islands Madeira and Azores and then back to Lagos before we sailed into the Mediterranean Sea. We hope we can inspire You!
