Heading South for the winter – next stop San Blas | Ep129

Sailing in the far Western Caribbean is a bit hit and miss. The trade winds cannot be relied upon out here. The weather can be squally, idyllic and becalmed all in the same day. Even all in the same hour!
It’s interesting sailing and made all the more special by the wildlife.
We had a Bay Chested Warbler drop in in the pouring rain over 100nm from shore and just hang out for a night with us on the boat. These birds are migrating South from Canada for the winter but they should follow the land not be miles out at sea so this little one was very happy to get a ride back to shore.
There’s a lot in this episode as we start in the amazing bustling city of Cartagena in Colombia and finish in the paradise Islands of the San Blas, Panama, quite a contrast.

Sailing CUBA! | Ep137
Cuba is without doubt the friendliest and most fascinating place we've been in the Caribbean - but somewhat surprisingly, there are hardly any tourists here (and they could really use more!). Cruising here on a boat is not like other countries. Officially...

On the list of jobs for this week was to properly test for stray currents. This can be a very serious problem which if you follow the Wynns you will be very much aware of. We have no corrosion that we can see, but we did have some haloing ( loss of paint a...

Running aground, epic varnishing and kissing a stingray! | Ep134
The week started really badly with us running aground on the way to the yard and having to be pulled off with the tug. It then went from bad to worst being in a vastly overpriced yard without the materials we needed and not being allowed to work on the boa...
