Great things to have on your boat!!!

We have made a few of these videos before showing things that we find really useful on a boat and we like doing them because we often get comments with tips for other great items too (thanks Nick Merritt for the Wago tip).

Comfort seat are based in Holland, we were introduced to them by friends in Cartagena who loved them but had ordered too many so we bought two of them. We then received the larger chair which is a ‘classic large plus’ while we were in Venice. You can see their range here: https://www.comfortseat.nl/shop/?lang=en

The fire alarm we have is called the Fire angel Atom, but it seems to be out of stock on the UK Amazon site. However there is a version on there which looks the same and has a 10 year life : https://www.amazon.co.uk/HEIMAN-Detector-Certified-Independent-Photoelectric/dp/B07JB7KBPY/ref=dp_prsubs_1?pd_rd_i=B07JB7KBPY&psc=1

Wago connectors are available everywhere, just Google them. The ones I’m using are the 221 which are the newer version to the 222. the older version was larger and grey; these newer ones are better. Don’t be confused by the power rating on the side, there are two lots of figures. The one on the side with the 11mm cable measure is just for Japan.

Building a J-Pole AIS Antenna

Is Bermuda better than the Bahamas for cruising? Ep 147
Many people just use Bermuda as a quick staging post on a West East Atlantic crossing. We think that is a massive mistake as Bermuda is one of our favourite places. Now that The Bahamas have hiked their cruising costs to thousands of pounds per vessel, Ber...

What’s it like sailing 800 miles offshore? | Ep146
The first leg of an Atlantic crossing is often the most tricky. Coming West the trade winds from the Canaries to the Caribbean are pretty reliable but getting down the the Canaries from Portugal can be a challenge. It was for us as you can see in Ep104 whe...
