Lithium Battery Failure on Our NEW Boat
Our boat problems continue in Thailand! After replacing the generator control unit, we were hoping our problems were finally solved… unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.
With more repairs needed, we pack our bags and leave the boat yet again, checking back into an Airbnb while the technicians try to figure out what’s going wrong.
Since there’s not much we can do but wait, Nika and I rent another scooter and head out to explore the island. This time we find an absolutely beautiful waterfall and get some incredible photos along the way.
Then we finally get some news about the boat — both good and bad.
The good news is that we can move back aboard and start using the boat again. The bad news? We’ve had a battery failure, which means we’re now operating with only HALF of our original battery capacity.
After everything that’s happened, it’s definitely disappointing to have another major component fail. But after spending so much time living in Airbnbs instead of on our new boat, we’re just happy to finally be back aboard and moving forward again.
