We sail from Morro Bay to the Catalina Islands. We stopped for an overnight at Avila Beach.
After that we intended to go to Cojo Harbour which is right around the corner from Point Conception.
Trav is being extremely casual in his voiceover, but this was actually insanely scary. The wind and waves picked up so fast and soon enough we were barely moving and then we started going backwards.
We turned the boat around trying to decide what we were gonna do. Questioning if we should go all the way back to Morro Bay? We finally decided to just stay back around the corner before Point Conception as we were super tired. There is no anchorage here so we took turns staying awake and just sailed back and forth all night. We weren’t even supposed to be in this area but we didn’t really have a choice. We were getting calls on the radio in the morning to clear out of the “danger zone”. LOL OHWELL.
In the morning we decided to reattempt going around Point Conception. I decided to forgive Trav about the night before because we were blessed with a million dolphins. This was the craziest thing id ever seen. There was hundreds coming from every direction and they stayed with us all day.
We decided to change our plan again and went to the Catalina Islands. We got in just as the sun was going down. As soon as we got up we through the dinghy in to go adventuring. This was the clearest water we had seen yet. We wanted to get in but we seen so many sharks swimming around.
