We finally escaped Preveza town quay and reached our first anchorage — and it felt like cruising heaven after all the noise, hassle, and dock chaos.
A few nights at anchor were pure bliss: no lines to adjust, no quay drama, just peace, floating, and the kind of silence that reminds you why you came cruising in the first place.

Midlife sailing adventure | Retired couple living on a catamaran | Full-time liveaboard sailing We’re John & Sha, a retired couple in our mid-50s preparing to move aboard our catamaran this April. After retiring from full-time careers, we’re transitioning to full-time liveaboard sailing and documenting the entire journey. Right now, we’re sailing the Ionian in Greece.
