Step 1 for shutting down your boat in the tropics…. try not to catch COVID right before you start! That’s right, Bohemia’s fearless crew got more than they bargained for after too much partying the week before. Luckily the First Mate was on hand to take the helm while the Captain recovers. We then got straight to work pickling the water maker and making preparations to fly home for the summer!

Sailing Bohemia
Four years ago we moved from England to California not knowing a thing about sailing. In September 2019 we sailed our 36 foot boat under the Golden Gate Bridge and turned left, leaving the San Francisco Bay behind but taking our cosy home with us. For us, this is the journey of a lifetime. We intend to visit some of the world's most beautiful and unspoiled cruising grounds. We'd like to share our trials and tribulations with you here, where we hope to bring you an authentic snapshot of our new life afloat!
