We tore ourselves away from our comfortable marina slip in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and head south, rounding Mexico’s little ‘Cape Horn’, Cabo Corrientes on the way. Despite setting ourselves up for an easy day sail and we regained our sea legs, we got a lot more wind than anticipated and had to abort our planned passage anchorage in favor of an unexpected overnighter.
Despite the rough seas, it felt great to get back out on the ocean again and putting some miles under the keel as we make our way toward Mexico’s southern border.
