After sailing around the Peloponnese, we finally start making our way back toward the Ionian Islands aboard Bluefish, our Lagoon 42 catamaran.
In this episode, we leave Pylos and sail north to Katakolon with a fun, windy passage along the west coast of Greece.
After a night ashore with dinner out and jellyfish drifting around the boat, we continue on toward Zakynthos — and it feels good to be back in the Ionian again.
Zakynthos is familiar for us, and after the longer miles around Greece it feels like a shift in pace. We swim, enjoy life at anchor, and the boys get some skate time in for World Skateboarding Day, even in the midday Greek heat.
The next morning, we head out early by dinghy to explore the caves around Turtle Island before the wind picks up and the day boats arrive.
This is full-time family boat life in Greece — sailing, anchoring, exploring, swimming, skateboarding, and living aboard our Lagoon 42 catamaran in the Mediterranean.
We’re Sailing Bluefish — Fredrik from Sweden, Laura from the UK, and our two New Zealand-born boys, living full-time aboard our Lagoon 42 catamaran and sailing Greece and the Mediterranean.
