We leave Cape Malea and continue aboard Bluefish, our Lagoon 42 catamaran, heading towards Elafonisos and the clear water around Pavlopetri.
After a short hop from the cape, we anchor in some of the clearest water we have seen in Greece and take the dinghy across to snorkel over Pavlopetri — one of the oldest submerged cities ever found, dating back around 5,000 years.
But this episode is also about the normal side of full-time boat life.
Not every week is long passages, exciting sailing, or famous places. Some days are about changing wind, moving anchorages, waiting it out, trying different bays, checking the forecast, and making a plan that might still change by morning.
After two nights at Elafonisos, we move on again, try one anchorage, wait in Fisherman’s Cove, then move once more before finally finding a bay that works for the night.
This is real boat life aboard a Lagoon 42 in Greece — clear water, ancient history, changing plans, quiet moments, swimming, walking ashore, and another normal day living aboard Bluefish.
We’re Sailing Bluefish — Fredrik from Sweden, Laura from the UK, and our two New Zealand-born boys Lucas & Noa, living full-time aboard our Lagoon 42 catamaran in the Mediterranean.
Thanks for watching — it means a lot to us.
