We sail Bluefish, our Lagoon 42 Catamaran to Delos Island — one of the most important mythological and archaeological sites in the ancient Greek world.
This episode is a different kind of sailing day. We leave the boat anchored nearby and explore Delos Island on foot, walking through the ruins, visiting the museum, and following the stories of Titans, gods, myth, and history that made this small island sacred.
In Greek mythology, Delos is linked to Leto, Apollo, Artemis, Zeus, Hera, and the older world of the Titans. Long before it became a famous archaeological site, Delos belonged to the mythic imagination of ancient Greece — a place where stories of gods, jealousy, birth, power, and worship all came together.
After exploring the ruins and museum, we return by dinghy to Bluefish and end the day in a beautiful anchorage — back to the simple rhythm of catamaran life in the Greek islands.
We’re Sailing Bluefish — Fredrik from Sweden, Laura from the UK, and our two New Zealand-born boys, living full-time aboard our Lagoon 42 catamaran in the Mediterranean.
