We’re ready to cross the Pacific… but we can’t leave.
Right now we’re stuck in Panama, anchored in a relentless rolly anchorage, waiting on one thing: the kids’ visas. It’s the final hurdle keeping us from pointing the bow west—and every day we sit here, the pressure builds.
But we’re not wasting the time.
While we wait, Finn is learning to go up the mast and lube the track—real skills that matter offshore. We’re practicing storm sail setup with friends, learning how to splice rope and make soft shackles, and doing everything we can to prepare for what’s ahead.
Because once those visas come through… it’s go time.
The kids are honest about it—they’re not exactly excited about long passages and losing internet—but they know what this next chapter means.
Now we just need the green light.
