We Never Expected to Find Family Here

When we left home to sail around the world, we thought the hardest part would be leaving our family behind.

What we never expected was finding another family halfway around the world.

After arriving in Moorea, we finally slow down enough to enjoy everything this incredible island has to offer—from hiking to the breathtaking Magic Mountain lookout to swimming with stingrays and blacktip reef sharks in crystal-clear water.

But this episode isn't really about Moorea.

It's about the friendships that have shaped this journey.

We first met SV Kaikoa in the Bahamas in 2025. Since then, we've crossed oceans together, shared countless anchorages, celebrated incredible moments, and supported each other through the challenges of life at sea.

Now, as cyclone season approaches, our paths are finally heading in different directions.

Some goodbyes are harder than others.

⚓ Thanks for being part of our journey.
