Hours Before We Left… This Happened
We finally left Panama and started our journey toward the Galápagos… but it didn’t happen the way we planned.
After weeks of waiting on visas, everything came down to a narrow window to check out of the country and begin our Pacific crossing. What should have been a straightforward departure quickly turned into a series of last-minute challenges — including unexpected issues on the boat and decisions we had to make under pressure.
With time running out and a weather window approaching, we had to decide: wait… or move forward anyway.
This episode captures what leaving actually looks like — not the highlight reel, but the real moments leading up to departure.
