Bahamas Crossing Imminent! Final Prep – Lazy Bag Install! With our Bahamas Gulf Stream crossing only a couple days away, we’re ticking things off the list to make sure the boat’s in top shape for offshore sailing. The last major item is our mainsail stowage. Currently we’re using a sail cover that doesn’t, well…cover. Our new sails are much beefier than our tired old ones, so they’re just too much for the cover. Luckily we’ve had a new Lazy Bag (stack pack, mack pack are other variations) on order for a while and the minutes are ticking down to be able to get it installed in time. Otherwise, handling our main will be a giant pain in the #$%!
But it arrives just in time and we get it installed despite the Florida heat. All part of sailboat living…scramble, scramble, scramble…SAIL!!
