Cruising FULL TIME entails lots of factors and TONS of DECISIONS that dictate our DAILY MOVES. But there’s one VERY complicated factor that is and OBSESSION with all cruising sailors. And that’s weather. Not just the big stuff…sure we fret about hurricanes and big storms…but something as simple as a 10 degree shift in wind direction can be the difference between a beautiful sailing passage and a rough beat to weather. In our current case, we’re travelling DIRECTLY into the tradewinds to get back to the eastern Caribbean. Which means even weather windows of light wind for even a day have to be taken advantage of.
