In this week’s video, we welcome our first guests onboard, including a fun pair of sisters followed by my little brother and his boyfriend.
We have been inviting our friends and family to come visit us onboard ever since we left Stockholm last year. But surprisingly, no one wanted to come and spend their holiday sailing the North Sea with us (wonder why?)
This year, they all came at once! We spent most of august with friends and family onboard. And since this was an opportunity to get out of boat chores and do some thorough exploration, we take you with us to the Aeolian Islands, the Strait of Messina, Catania and the beautiful town of Siracusa.
In the meantime, our guests learn about some rougher aspects of life onboard! Yep, it’s not always sunshine and roses 😉

Welcome to our channel, where we tell the stories of our sailing voyage, from zero experience to full-time cruising! We are Ryan and Sophie, an American guy and a French girl who met in Sweden, on a cold night of March 2015. Shortly thereafter, we decided to leave our corporate jobs to live a big sailing adventure around the World together. We had no experience of sailing at all before we started, and had honestly no idea what we were getting ourselves into. Turns out, with a bit of willpower and work, anything goes.
