The Kitchen is DONE! So Close to Cruising | Sailing 36

Join Roaming Rupps as they venture on an exciting sailing trip, turning their sailboat’s kitchen from old and out-of-date into a modern marvel. With creativity, elbow grease, and a whole lot of determination, the family renovates their cramped cooking quarters while cruising the open water. Witness this incredible journey to transform the heart of the boat, the kitchen, into a fully functional and beautiful space.

The Transformation Begins

As Roaming Rupps prepares to explore the open waters, they face the challenge of updating their boat’s tired and worn kitchen. The old countertops have seen better days, with peeling varnish on the wooden parts throughout. However, the family is excited about the potential for improvement and the impact it will make during their upcoming travels.

A Long Drive

To give their kitchen a facelift, Roaming Rupps embarks on a lengthy journey to pick up the perfect new countertop. After an anticipated 4-hour drive to Columbia for the countertop and another 4 hours back to the boat, they are eager to see how it will transform their sailing experience.

A Surprising Upgrade

When the countertop finally arrives, it exceeds their expectations, and the family is thrilled. With a color that isn’t too bold but adds just enough pizzazz to the interior of their boat, they’re even more excited to install the new sink with ease.

Choosing the Perfect Faucet

The Rupps debate between a smaller, more residential faucet and a larger one that may obstruct access to certain areas of the sink. After careful consideration, they decide on a larger option but acknowledge that they can easily switch if desired in the future.

The Sink Is Installed

With patience and determination, Roaming Rupps successfully installs their new sink. The family appreciates the larger size of the sink, making it more practical for washing dishes on the boat.

A New Filtering System

Following the kitchen renovation, Roaming Rupps installs a state-of-the-art filtering system that allows them to access both fresh and salt water on their sailboat. This addition ensures they can maintain clean water while preserving fresh water supply.

Painting and Touch-ups

To give the space a finishing touch, Ashley sets to work painting and touching up parts of their kitchen. By painting the walls white and filling in cracks with foam, she ensures that everything looks fresh and new.

The Transformation Is Complete

Finally, Roaming Rupps’ kitchen renovation is complete, revealing a transformed space perfect for their adventurous lifestyle. The family couldn’t be happier with the end result and eagerly anticipates more cruising adventures with their new, functional, stylish kitchen.

The End

So there you have it! Another amazing transformation from the Roaming Rupps. As you can see, determination and a positive attitude go a long way in making your dreams come true – especially when cruising on your boat. Keep an eye out for more videos about their fantastic boating adventures as they continue to sail their life away!
