SAFE Boat Launch How Omega Morgan does it!
For anyone who has been following the SV Seeker project you know getting SV Seeker to water is going to be a huge project! The boat will have to be hauled 16 miles to the port of Catoosa in Tulsa Oklahoma.
The other day when I was at work I got to see Omega Morgan launch a boat built by SAFE Boat US here in Tacoma, they used two cranes to launch the boat into the water, pivoting it between them!
With a multi-million dollar warship hanging in the air the stakes were high, we all have seen the “Ship Launch Fail” videos where a vessel hanging from a crane takes the cranes down with it.
Luckily this was not the case and I was impressed with their professionalism, they got the job done and got it done fast!
