The 1966 Spencer 42′ Sloop was not built with a shower, so we’re converting the head to a wet head by fiber-glassing the walls with West Systems Epoxy and Fiberglass.
In order to be able to shower in the head it is necessary to waterproof the entire compartment. This was accomplished by using fiberglass on all of the bulkheads and floor, as well as tabbing everything into the hull.
I also fabricate a shower sump box that will also serve as a sink sump and anchor locker sump, combining these into a central easy to service location that will get lots of water pumped through it to keep it from growing nastyness and smelling!
